An arcsecond (″) is 1/60 of an arcminute or 1/3600 of a degree. Arcseconds measure stellar positions, telescope resolution, and atmospheric seeing. The Hubble Space Telescope resolves about 0.05 arcseconds. GPS accuracy is measured in arcseconds.
