A foot-candle (fc) is the imperial illuminance unit—light from one candela source at one foot distance, equal to 10.764 lux. US lighting standards: office 30-50 fc, retail 50-100 fc, warehouse 10-30 fc. IESNA recommendations use foot-candles. One fc = one lumen per square foot.
